Somerville Football Teams

Somerville football teams have had a busy and successful week.

 

Year 6 played in the Wirral finals on Tuesday and done themselves proud. They were eventually knocked out by the overall winners.

 

Not to be disheartened, they dusted themselves down and won 3-0 yesterday against Mersey Park and are through to the next round of the Houlihan Cup.

 

The Girls played in the Wirral Finals on Wednesday and fielded the youngest team in the competition by far, two Year 4's and two Year 3's with a sprinkle of Year 6's, against schools consisting only of Year 6's. They won all their game with relative ease.

 

Unfortunately they lost in the final to the team they had just beaten 4-1 but they gave such an incredible account of themselves and have been invited to represent the Wirral at the Merseyside Games and the MCSFA Liverpool Girls Cup in the next few weeks.
